As
humans we have increased the rate of global warming. We have released so much
carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that our planet's atmosphere is now
like a thick, heat-trapping blanket. Therefore more heat is trapped in which in
return, warms up the earths surface creating extreme effects.

Many chemical products we use are released into the atmosphere causing the ozone layer in it to slowly disappear. This is causing global warming because the sun’s rays can penetrate the Earth’s surface more. This is, also what is contributing to the increase in skin cancer due to people needing to make sure they are putting sunscreen on more than they needed to worry about approximately 20 or more years ago. It is also what is causing the oceans to rise because parts of the Arctic and Antarctic have melted because of the decrease in the ozone layer.

Climate change is a current problem we face today on our planet.
It is essentially our planet heating up too much due to all of the greenhouse gases we are emitting through the burning of fossil fuels and other CO2 emitting practices.

What causes the heating is that when the sun gives off its light and radiation towards Earth, some of those ultra violet rays are supposed to get trapped within our atmosphere and then deflect some of the ultra violet rays away back into space, to keep a balance of warmth.
Now what climate change is doing is making our atmosphere polluted and thereby making it thicker, so not all of the suns ultra violet rays are being sent back into space, so they stay in the atmosphere heating it up, throwing off the balance of the natural warming process.

Yes, people are being educated on global warming and climate change. Yes, some steps are being taken to 'help' change outcome. But the fact of the matter is that this change is happening more rapidly than ever. If drastic changes aren't made, life as we know it - the earth as we know it, will be gone. The air will become too toxic to breathe, the water too toxic to drink, the soil too toxic to grow anything. We will be very angry with each other and ourselves, but only when its too late.

Check out the link below:

http://www.ucsusa.org/our-work/global-warming/science-and-impacts/global-warming-impacts#.ViqEW_uFOpo

Climate change is the significant alteration in long-term weather patterns. Global warming is probably the most well-known and talked about regarding climate change; it is the increase in average global temperature. This is a controversial topic seeing as it’s caused by human activities. I read several articles about how global warming affects the earth and its species.

Global warming or climate change is still seen as a myth or corporate money grab by a lot of people based on the fact that there are natural changes in the climate over long periods of time. The fact that there has been such a drastic change in such a short period of time is clear evidence that the recent (last 100 years) industrialization of the world has a direct impact on the climate and environment. What a lot of people who do believe in climate change don't understand is that the methods and processes used in industry, production, agriculture, and power production have vastly improved in the last 30 years. The real issue is trying to reverse the effects of our past ways. The population of humans on earth is climbing at an incredible rate which is also a huge issue leading to the seemingly increasing pollution. More people is problem because under developed countries most use old, cheap and ultimately more harmful methods of industry. Countries like Chinas yearly increase in pollution is equal to all of Canada's! Its unfair for the top 20 countries to tell the devolping countries, "You can't burn coal and oil to succeed like we did! We did it first, got rich, and now we think its wrong!", and thats why I believe the true solution to help cure climate change is foreign aid. If the amount spent on environmental protection in the top countries was donated to upgrading out of date factories and methods of power production in developing countries a lot more progress would be made.

By: Jayson Swigger

Due to the constant manmade generation of pollution in consequence of activities such as the ongoing production of toxic filled goods; which are usually made from the extraction and with the use of toxic materials and supplies, the elements that once made up our routinely predictable weather and climate conditions are being abnormally altered in such a way that the said conditions are now causing harm to the world’s ecosystems and therefore, pose a threat to our very existence.

The image is exhibiting how our manmade pollution is negatively effecting the very fabric of Earth’s natural environmental states. It is doing so by stating that, as we continue to worsen our environment’s conditions, humankind’s very existence hangs in the balance because we rely on nature to be somewhat lenient in order to live harmoniously with its presence and since we have aggressively interfered with its natural state for the worse, we must now face the consequences whether we like it or not.

Getting into more specifics, the image below depicts a rise in sea level, seeing as the image displays a tsunami taking place; a natural disaster in which is not so natural in the case of the depiction being that it was developed as a result of an increase in atmospheric temperature due to the heating effect caused as a result of manmade green house gasses known as "global warming".

Eventually, if we continue to worsen our environment’s well being at such a high rate as we are currently doing so, our climate, pupateered by non other than ourselves, will eventually end life on Earth. Ironic is it not.

http://thewalrus.ca/the-rising-tide/
