Summary: This channel is owned by Adrian, A Canadian with a T-Shirt. In this video, Adrian talks about the best 7 credits cards in Canada in 2024, and explains the benefits of each one. These cards are Scotia Infinite, AmEx Preferred, Simplii Visa, Triangle World Elite, Home Trust Visa, PC World Elite, and Rogers Red World Elite.

I chose this video because Adrian is very specific talking about credits cards for Canadians and how to benefit from them in the Canadian economic context. Of course each credit card has detailed features and benefits, Adrian explains for what specific payments he recommends to use each one. Its interesting how he shows he is paying Rent with credit card, and how he uses the Rogers Credit in Costco, always focusing on cash back.

Summary: This channel’s name is New Money Nate, and its host is Nate. In this video, Nate talks about 6 of the best credits cards in Canada in 2024 and covers the rewards you may get from each one. These cards are Scotia BMO Cashback World Elite Mastercard, AmEx Aeroplan Reserve, American Express Platinum, TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, BMO Student Cashback, and American Express Cobalt.

I chose this video because Nate covers on a variety of credit cards for different profiles of user, like one recommendation for students, and also focuses on the Canadian economic context. He is very clear in pros and cons for each credit card, and how the cons which are high annual fees, will pay off and worth the benefits if the credit cards covered are properly used. Nate also shows insurance coverage for each credit card, which I found very relevant.

Summary: This channel’s name is Living in Canada, and its host is Chiu Yen. In this video, Chiu Yen talks about cashback rewards specifically for grocery spending, for the following credit cards: BMO Cashback World Elite Mastercard, American Express Simply Cash, Meridian Visa Infinite CB Card, Scotia Momentum Visa, and CIBC Dividend Visa Infinite Card.

The first reason I chose this video is because grocery shopping is basic, and even more important if you have a family, and using credit card for this brings an important amount of cashback that we may be losing when paying in cash or with debit cards. The second reason I chose this video is because the host explains how credit cards use for grocery shopping will be reflected over the years in terms of savings, and how to pick a credit card wisely, because banks often offer high cashback % for the first couple of months and with spending caps included in the small letters.

Summary: This channel has already been included previously, its name is Canadian in a T-Shirt, and now Adrian is talking about how to pay rent with our credit card and get a 4% cash back.

I chose this video because I had no idea this could be possible, and never heard of it, so maybe there will be other people who might find it useful. Nowadays, when housing expenses are so high in Canada, it is a great benefit to have the chance to get some percentage back of the money we pay for rent and use that money in other things.

Summary: RATESDOTCA is a website where you can learn about many financial products. They have a section dedicated specifically for credit cards, where you can discover the best credit card in Canada for you.

I chose this website because it has filters to help you learn about the credit card that best match with your priorities, lifestyle, and preferences, such as no annual fees, or kind of rewards you are looking for. Even you can filter your research depending on your personalized monthly spending, current balance and interest rate which I think is very helpful. You will find several options to evaluate credit cards, and you can elevate to the advanced filter to include annual income and credit score.

They also help customers looking for a credit card to match their profile to the best option for them, but instead of filters, they use bars to measure values, preferences and priorities.

I chose Credit Card Genius because I like the way they visually display the credit cards and their characteristics, its easy to compare them and navigate the website.
