At the age of 23, Wonder survived a major car accident in North Carolina, where the back of a truck broke Wonder's windshield and struck him in the head. This accident put him in a coma for 4 days due to what sources call a "bruise on the brain" and a skull fracture. There is no specific brain injury listed, but one can conclude from the symptoms that it was an injury to the parietal lobe.
