Currently, I am pursuing a Certificate Program in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts. I also did a course from Bocconi on food and Beverage management to understand the marketing bit of the food industry.

I am also working as the IT helpdesk manager for a University in Qatar serving my notice period, which ends on Jan 2021.

I got laid off from the current job in Jan 2020, which I was at for the last 11 years. I have 16 years of Experience in Managing an IT helpdesk for a School and a University. I think I know I am ready for a new adventure and am not looking for another desk job.

In 2019 I obtained my Master's Degree in Strategic Business unit management from HEC Paris. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Computer science from Braratheir University from 2002.

I have two kids and a lovely wife, and after spending kind of my entire life in Qatar, I might be moving out of here next year. Not sure where to, maybe in Canada, possibly India may be back in Qatar.

Not really knowing where this is going is also pretty exciting as it also teaches me to live in the moment and to follow my intuition. I am pretty self-motivated belief in the self and can take care of myself, physically, mentally and spiritually.

I am pretty excited about this course and to begin working with all of you.

Geophysicist by background I've been developing market opportunities (direct customer sales, agent network development, technology BDM) worldwide spanning across the UK, EU, the US, Canada, Africa, Russia, China, India and Asia Pacific most recently as Global Sales Director. 

Apart from field sales I've been involved in managing small sales teams, sales strategy development (rolling forecast), go to market initiatives, value proposition, VC investor pitch and other various aspects of the business.

Although I don't have an immediate desire to start my own business due to a lack of business partner focusing on software development in SaaS AI and Machine Learning domain, I would like to have a complete and structured picture of the initial startup set up.

Last summer I turned down a brilliant opportunity undertaking a PhD in Artificial Intelligence with Dame Professor Wendy Hall (author of UK Government AI Strategy), in order to scratch an “entrepreneurial itch”. Since then, I’ve been creating software for the NHS during the day and creating my own web and software projects at night. My aim by the end of the programme is to turn a software project into a real business.  
 
I've got plenty of entrepreneurial experience going back to 14 years of age - some of the stories are impressive, some are dumb and some are plain weird. I regularly produce music and DJ, do a lot of strength training and joke around a-lot.

After working in some technical positions, I worked at ABB, KEMA (the world's largest High Power and High Voltage Testing Labs) & Siemens I founded my own consultancy company in Dubai. During my career as an employee, some would say, senior ececutive, I founded and grew two companies. The first company was a Consultancy Company for the Power Sector in the Middle East (Dubai) while the second company was an Engineering company who builds power plants. 
My team has built the largest Electrical Power Plant in Saudi Arabia being the PP10 Power Plant which suppliers a large part of the city of Riyadh with Power. 
While at KEMA I tested and certified Power Cables from 10.000 Volts up to 500.000 Volts.
When my second company (our mother company invested 3.5 Million Euro) was sold to Siemens fro 30.000.0000 Euro I deceded never to build up a company for outhers anymore without at least having a significant part of the shares myself. i.e. I know how to create value but I learned my lesson on exit strategy the hard way. I already have my own consultancy company in Dubai and that company is doing very well. (www.gcc-power.com) I represent international companies and guide them in setting up or expanding their business in the Middle East.
I now came across a great Idea which I think can become very successfull but it needs a significant investment. I joined this programme to get som eguidance on building an anvestors pitch because the concept we have in mind needs a significant investment of some 20 Million Euro's. In order to raise that we need to attract the right investors.

I am married and together with my wife we have four kids. My "kids" are 24 and 21 while my wife's boys are 18 and 15 years old. 

I live in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and visit Europe every other weekend. 

I am passionate about new innovations in Electricity Generation which will result in a much more diversified fuel mix portfolio including Solar Power and Wind Power. My business idea relates to a new, very innovative way, to repair failed submarine power cables in the shortest possible time.

I'm a Private Aviation leader who helped pioneer the private jet charter industry into the digital marketplace of today. I successfully created and developed the first private jet "instant" booking app in the USA. I just recently parted ways with my company of 17 years and looking to eventually start my own company. I'm UK born with British and Irish Citizenship and live in Jersey, Channel Islands with my wife and 21 year old son.  For the past 30 years I have worked in and around the real estate  industry and am a Chartered Surveyor by profession.  Education includes a BA in Law & Economics from Durham  and an MBA from Cranfield.
 
The early years were spent with a couple of big name consultants  and then through the recession of the early 1990s as a self employed "Jack of all trades" to a number of small property companies.  After my MBA I moved into real estate finance first with a property company and then for a bank, which took me to Jersey.

In 2005 I set up a joint venture with a Jersey corporate and fund services business to build a specialist real estate offer, in 2008 converting the JV  into a holding in my partner's holding company.  In 2010 I led the opening of a Luxembourg office and subsequently worked between here and Jersey. Over 14 years we grew the business from 18 staff in 1 office to around 300 across 5 countries.  

I sold my equity to my partners in 2019, to work with start up and growing businesses in the real estate and regulated sectors.  Currently I am advising a UK PropTech start up, have invested in a Luxembourg RegTech and been appointed as an independent director of a Luxembourg fund management business.

I am a London based (for the last 15 years) technology executive and have been working full time for the last 21 years.

I have lived and worked in 4 countries (India, US, Australia, UK) and taken the route from hard core geek in the initial years (some of them in the Bay area) to a stint in consulting and in the last 8+ years heading European business units in leadership roles, focussed on P&L, marketing, partner development and team building. Over the past few years I have built successful teams across UK & Europe (from Nordics to Turkey).

Over my career till date, I have had the chance to get exposed to multiple tech paradigms and industries when solving their technology transformation challenges (Retail, Healthcare, Telecom, Media, Financial Services) with significant time spent on Telecom over the last 15 years. The majority of the last decade was spent assisting CIO/CTO/CEO’s in solving some of their business technology transformation initiatives.

I have decided to leave my corporate role recently and spend the next 12 months in focussing 100% to build a SaaS business leveraging some of my insights, business community network and the possibilities that technology has now opened up (compared to 10 years ago). While I have some ideas, I am keeping an open mind on how to look at the market and potential solutions and what will excite me.

My name is Matheus Vilela, I do have 39 years old, I am Brazilian and I moved to the UK 4 years ago (live near to Bristol). I am a mechanical technician, production engineer, telecommunication engineer and I do have an MBA in petroleum and gas business. I worked 13 years in the oil and gas industry in multiple sectors (ports construction and operation, shipyard construction and operation, vessel construction and operation, subsea engineer and services and offshore logistic) and now I got 4 years in the manufacturing of electromechanical component. I always have been a professional manager in various positions (sales, business development, general manager, project manager, commercial and marketing). 

Since I moved to the UK and joined Rotalink (miniature motor and gearbox manufacturer) I have consolidated my plan to become a business owner and now is time to fly high.
 
My initial plan is to buy an existing business (preferably that uses technology and services – surveillance/cctv service providers seems to be an idea) and develop a “startup” trough out an internal R&D campaign. I really like the concept to establish kiosk services that automate internal process such as reception, queue management, truck access and etc, but everything design very organically and customized.  With the Entrepreneurship Edge program, I do expect to challenge my ideas, ensure I am selecting the right industry to start with and consolidate my plan. 
 
I am married for 13 years now and I am the father of Luisa (6 years young) and Benjamin (11 months young). My hobby was sailing, tennis and for obvious reasons football, but now it seems that my favorite sport is to raise my kids during the weekend. I am still good at cooking though!

I am 25 years old, Austrian/American but born and raised in beautiful Austria. After graduating school I moved to London to study Photography. 2016 I moved back to Austria to continue pursuing a career in the health and fitness industry. Growing up I did figure skating and gymnastics professionally but had to stop do to school and not enough time.

I am currently studying  Sports- and Trainigscience in Munich (part-time due to work) and have been working in the health and fitness industry as a Personal Health Trainer and Small Group Instructor for 4-5 years. Next to that I am a shareholder of a 150 year old 100% family-run jewlry business. Through this, I have been able to gain rich information and insight to an amazing  business. This is Richa Gulati from New Delhi, India. Born and bred in Delhi. Completed my Bachelors and  Masters in Business with specialisation in HR. After a successful stint in HR - Recruitment in corporate for 7 years, I have started my own venture in providing Manpower consultancy based in New Delhi last year in July’19.

I recently got married amidst the lockdown in Delhi and will be shifting my base to South East Asia next month with my Husband.  

My main objective to join the course is to learn and spar from my course mates and mentors. And use the framework/knowledge from this experience to take my setup to another level.

I started operations for Dutch impact investment fund, which was interested to explore investment opportunities in conflict affected areas of the country - we had some successes and failures. Later I moved to one of the largest agriculture companies, managing their contract farming unit, to develop farmers into sustainability certified suppliers to KFC and PepsiCo. After some time I decided to open own agriculture consultancy, AgriRS to serve local enterprises and help investors to understand Myanmar and start operations here. Between 2018 and 2020 I started first in Myanmar organic cotton growing operation for a German client, which was later acquired by Welspun, an Indian conglomerate. I've assisted dozen of companies on accessing premium markets, managing certifications such as Organic, Fair Trade etc. I am also advising different development institutions on agriculture policy, as well as work on advising on restructuring for two largest state owned banks in Myanmar. My name is Ágnes Bernáth, Hungarian national living in London, UK for about 15 months now. My professional background consists of mainly commercial activities deepening in sales & marketing, account management and business development within FMCG and lighting industry like Coca Cola, GE and nowadays within Tungsram Group.

I am originally from Lebanon, French national and living in Dubai for the last 7 years. I studied computer engineering and worked with an IT service company for more than 10 years in France, India and Morocco. When I moved to Dubai in 2013, I joined a technology company providing solutions to Oil & Gas industry and I am still working with them looking after MEA region.
I have a mixed experience of software development, program management, operations management, sales,... and I have a passion for finance!

I completed an executive MBA with LBS in 2018 and since my graduation I was looking to start my own business. So I am hoping to finally start my project in the next few months.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology along with @Cert CII,  @Dip Claims, Diploma in Insurance from CII UK. I have built few practices, capabilities for Global IT companies from scratch and developed a taste of building newer things and growing them while delivering actual value to the end client and consumer. While doing it for more than a decade I took up the journey to start my own IT firm focusing on Happy People all around and providing innovative and newer IT solutions and services to our clients, currently target to a specific industry segment. Covid 19 has given me newer direction to help community at large and we are now aiming to take our product and services journey forward to get into end consumer services and to make positive impact to life of common people.  

Being modular in approach, clearly identifying problems and then try to solve them, makes me feel good. Philosophy that I love to live with is to “Do Good and Be Good”. 

I am looking forward to be a part of this community and learn new things from the group and the faculty.
