When I was in high school,I had to wake up very early every morning, and I had to wear a uniform every day.We were not allowed to use our phones during lessons, and we couldn’t leave the school building without permisson. At university, things are quite different.I must attend some important classes, but I don’t have to wear a uniform anymore. I can use my phone freely as long as I don’t disturb anyone.In high school, homework had to be submitted on paper,but now it can be uploaded online.Overall,university life is more flexible and independent.

In high school, I had to follow the rules. I wasn’t allowed to leave the school premises on school hours. I had to wear a uniform every day and ı had to attend every class. (Actually, bilkent prep school is the same about that.) We couldn’t use our phones during lessons, and we weren’t allowed to question the teacher's decisions much. Now in university, I don’t have to wear a uniform, and I can choose my lessons. I must manage my time better because no one reminds me of the deadlines. Also I mustn't cheat as the rules are very strict. University gives more responsibility.

The high school and the university have lots of similarities and differences to each other. As a difference, for instance, When I was in high school, I had to wear uniforms according to the dress code, whereas at the university, I do not need to do that. As a similarity, for example, it was prohibited to smoke in the high school, likewise at the university, the students must not smoke except at the specially designated areas for smoking.

University life is easier than high school life because when I was going to high school , I had to get up early and then a few time I got used to getting up earlier. Also, we have a lot of lessons at high school so we had to work several lessons. In addition, I had to wear uniform at high school. When I compare high school and university, I can really see how much has changed. In high school, I had to wake up early every day and needed to follow a strict timetable. Teachers always guided me, and I had to do exactly what they said. At university, things are different. I have to take care of my own responsibilities and need to plan my studies by myself. No one forces me to study, but if I want to succeed, I have to work hard. I also need to balance my social life and classes, which isn’t always easy but feels more grown-up.

However, in university, students have to be more responsible .We can’t use our phones or tablets. I couldn’t leave the school and I also can’t leave the university because prep school does not allow absence.I didn’t need to worry about managing money because my family took care of everything. However, when I started university, everything changed.I must learn to be more independent now.

University is more challenging than high school, when I was in high school, I had to come to all the classes, and now in university i also have to come all the classes, but in university there is more intensive education, we have to study more than high school i think. Although university is more powerful than high school in terms of getting both socialized and be more confident, university is cool but i think the lunch breaks in university are too long, i wish we could have shorter breaks so we could go home earlier and have more time for us to study. In the end of the day we are in the university and we ought to study hard for passing the prep. I can’t wait to start my department.
