         <description><![CDATA[<p>When you are managing a project yourself, such as a final show piece, exhibition or event, you will be required to complete this form. It will still be agreed (signed off) by a tutor, but you will work out yourself what the health and safety issues are and how to manage them.</p><p><br></p><p>The general risk assessment form should be used to record all risk assessments (apart from those that involve the use of hazardous substances or where the activity mainly involves manual handling).</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

A first aider and the Facilities Manager must also be contacted.          <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>substances that are bought; for example, resins, inks and dyes, cleaning chemicals</p></li><li><p>substances that are created during a process; for example, wood, metal or ceramic dusts, fumes from laser cutting or soldering</p></li><li><p>substances such as blood, urine or vomit that usually result from an accident.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Please do not attempt to work with any hazardous substances before talking to your tutor and technician to ensure that the substance has been risk assessed.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>(COSHH365 / Sevron) is the software used for the assessment of activities involving hazardous substances but you need to ensure you have spoken to a member of staff and received the necessary training before carrying out a risk assessment of a hazardous substance.          <description><![CDATA[<p>This form should be completed to identify any adjustments needed to ensure a member of staff or student can evacuate the site(s) they work at or visit regularly.</p><p><br></p><p>This may apply to disabled staff and students or someone with a temporary injury/medical condition. PEEPs are only required for a small number of disabled staff and students. </p><p> </p><p>This assessment form is to be read in conjunction with the PEEP guidance document.  The personalised emergency evacuation plan documents the arrangements required to allow safe evacuation. When identifying and agreeing arrangements you should always consult your local H&amp;S Adviser, and for a student, the Disability Adviser.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This event plan document is useful for students to plan the event and a great communication tool when finding a staff lead</p><p>Here are the criteria when hosting student-led events:</p><ul><li><p>All student led activities requite a staff lead.</p></li><li><p><strong>All student led activities require a risk assessment to have been completed and shared with a staff lead for sign off.</strong></p></li><li><p>Any spaces required for a student led event must be booked or reserved with the staff lead and if necessary, estates informed.</p></li><li><p>If the student led event is taking place in any of the event spaces listed on this page, we’d require an Event Plan Form as well as a risk assessment.</p></li><li><p>Spaces should be returned to their previous state at the end of the session.</p></li><li><p>If activities run beyond usual site opening hours additional costs may be incurred (security, refreshments, cleaning).</p></li><li><p>If activities are taking place to raise funds, that should be discussed with the staff lead to ensure that monies are safe.</p></li><li><p>Student led events happening within their course should be shared with the course leader.</p></li><li><p>Student led events happening outside of their course should be shared with the associate dean of student journey.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
