I would definitely advise that you attend the weekly sessions, you will definitely get more out of the course and the discussions generated in class around the topics. This also helps you to connect to your peers in the group - we definitely had a few socials through the year as well.

Helen is an amazing tutor, she wants you to succeed and is very supportive, especially for the assignments as she is aware these can be daunting and she provides opportunity for feedback before submission.

Finally, just believe in yourself.

Helen put us at great ease, and treats you as an equal. All feedback has always been thorough and transparent, helping personal growth in all areas.

Helen has been an incredible tutor and she wants every student to succeed, so don't be scared to ask for help. If you are unsure about a topic discussed or an assignment in class, book a 1-2-1 session! I did this a lot at the thought out the course. Eventually my confidence grew massively and I started to join in class debates and ask questions in class.

Every session is important, so I would recommend attending every class if you can. It's great to connect your peers and learn different HR topics and scenarios.

Finally, believe in yourself! you can do it! I used to be terrified of assignments but by getting the support from Helen I was able to beat that fear and turn it into confidence! Enjoy every moment!

However, it became clear early on that this is not just academic writing like other CIPD courses, this builds relationships, confidence and opens up your mind about other aspects of HR you have probably never had experience in, I know that was true in my case.

I got involved in the board of studies, so when that is offered, get involved! Its great experience to be the class representative.

The group work can seem hard, but honestly put your all in and you will understand why afterwards its such an important activity on this course. Since this course I went for an interview where I had to write and carry out a presentation. I can assure you before this course, I really wouldn't have had the confidence to do this!

Its true - get involved, writing assignments are a small part of this course, it will soon be over and you will want to do it all again.
