<title>Tracy Lee Simmons - Writer and Public Speaker by Tracy Lee Simmons</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/tracyleesimmons/About</link>
<description>As the author of the 2002 book Climbing Parnassus, Tracy Lee Simmons presents a detailed argument for a classical education in an academic world that increasingly regards Greek and Latin studies as outdated and superfluous. Three years after the release of this influential book, Tracy Lee Simmons received the Circe Institute’s Paideia Prize for his lifetime contributions to classical education.

Over the course of his career, he has also served as a contributing writer for The Weekly Standard, a contributing editor for Crisis, and both a contributor and associate editor for the National Review. He has also freelanced for more than a dozen major newspapers and journals.

In addition to his work as a writer, Mr. Simmons has delivered lectures on a range of educational and literary topics. In 2019, he delivered the keynote address at the Veritas Classical Academy annual fundraiser in Virginia and the commencement address at the Parnassus Preparatory charter school in Minnesota. He also served as a plenary speaker for the Barney Charter School Initiative conference in June of that same year.
