During our trip to Monterrey, we take our time to visit some of the many remarkable places that are all over the city, but we choose some special ones, specially the ones that are in the downtown. First we made a stop in the statue of General Juan Zuazua, a general that participated in the defense of Monterrey. Then we walked across the street we went to the Catedral de Monterrey, the principal and iconic church of the city is really beautiful, with many tiny details, and that makes it very special and it's a great experience to visit it. Then we walked some meters and we went to Barrio antiguo, as his name says is a neighborhood in which all the architecture of the houses, the color, and the streets are made in a very antique way that makes to every person that goes there a very unique experience in the hearth of the city of Monterrey. Finally we went to the Palacio de Gobierno, where the governor of nuevo león rules, but is not only that, it’s a very special place with a great architecture, and on its facade have some elements that makes it unique and has characteristics that describes the state like the lions that are in the roof. To visit this places was a great experience in general because we visited on of the most famous states in Mexico, and to know a little bit more of his history is a very fun experience, to know that every single statue, monument, street, house has a story to tell. We recommend you that if you have the opportunity, visit downtown Monterrey, to get out of our daily routine and get to known this amazing places and stories, it was totally worth it.

The same day we visited the Macroplaza and the most remarkable places in the city of Monterrey, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, we made our way into Mercado Juarez as part of our objective to know better the city. We arrived to the downtown of the city where we decided to park our car next to the Marco Museum, since it was the closest and cheapest, once we parked the car we walked into the south of the city in our efforts to find Mercado Juarez and take pictures with everything the teacher told us to, once we arrived to the building we noticed that it was very old and that it was missing some maintenance, when we entered we could see all the stuff they were selling and the food they were making, stuff like quesadillas, tacos, soups. The market sold absolutely anything we wanted all the way from musical instruments to toys to multiple species. After walking around for a while we took our picture to remember the moment. Entering the market was definitely an educational experience since the majority of us had never even known the place existed. It was a satisfactory experience to learn something new from your city and explore places where you would normally go. This helped us understand more in depth how the city works and what it actually consist of, we are very thankful for this experience and will definitely come back in case we need something that we can found there because as we said its a market in which you can found almost everything

During this project we visited the culturally rich areas of Monterrey, we visited the statue of General Juan Zuazua, a former military who fought in the American intervention in 1860, nicknamed “El General de Generales”. Then we went and took a look at the Cathedral of Monterrey, a sacred space full of history with beautiful architecture that converts it into a very special place to visit. We swiftly passed over the Barrio Antiguo, we watched the neighborhood and the different locals and bars that were in the place, what really impresses me is the antiquity of the place and the use of space they decided. Lastly we hopped over to Palacio de Gobierno a building with very unique architecture which really highlighted the state values this was a great experience and it was fun and interesting since every location was full of rich history that formed our city.
