What is language? Language is everything from the word "language" to a symbol as familiar as a Christian cross.
or more formally (according to theoryofknowledge.net):
"Language is generally where we begin when we try to explain a concept. But it’s hard to know the exact boundaries of the term ‘language’. Is it written, oral, or all forms of communication? Love, for example, is sometimes described as the universal language; music has been described similarly.

This article by Psychology Today aims to offer an answer to the question whether women have a 'special intuitive ability'. It argues that women are better at 'reading' (interpreting) emotions through facial expressions. However, one could argue that men are better at some (other) intuitions than women. Neuroscience would claim that these differences originate from the different wiring of men's and women's brains, as explored by this article from The Guardian. This would suggest that intuition is rooted in nature (and therefore perhaps closer to 'instinct'?).
