         <description><![CDATA[<div>I don't think wisdom and greater life experience have much to do with language learning, unless they include more specific attributes such as patience, open-mindedness, basic study techniques and inquisitiveness. <br>I've known people in their 50s learn languages to advanced level, but I've also met several retirees in Spain who find the excuse of being "too old to learn" comforting. It's a belief that seems to be an entirely mistaken wisdom in itself.</div>]]></description>
