John's Campaign is a campaign that aims to remove restrictions on family carers supporting relatives with dementia in hospitals. The campaign's main message is that family carers should be able to be with the people they care for, and that their knowledge and love should not be disconnected.

Physical activity is evidenced as beneficial.

Music-based activities also evidenced as beneficial.

Social and intergenerational opportunities are important.

Online learning sessions specifically for Dementia that include:

• Future Care Planning

Dementia affects many families and after the initial diagnosis, families need to change their caring responsibilities. This short course works through the main issues encountered by many families with practical advice and an assessment that can be used with your loved one. This illness affects people differently and wading through mounds of information can be very demoralising. The course is delivered through mini presentations and the tasks can be worked through at your own pace. Learners will be guided by qualified professionals and learn from the stories of those who have been through the process.

The course fee is only £70 however we offer a Fee Waver Scheme that is currently available to individuals in Wales who would not otherwise have access to higher education including paid and unpaid carers.
