The early help support plan will usually involve a home visit every fortnight.

Interventions might also include setting routines, creating consistency in the home, building up strategies that family have already learned (e.g., 'Special time' learned in Solihull Parenting group).

The length of time families are open to Early Help is up to 3 months. Early Help wouldn't usually keep them open for longer than 3 months.

From the start of the period of Early Help support, there will be very clear goals (e.g., boundaries in the home, getting mum signed up to a workshop).

What does an Early Help Referral need to include?

Referrals to Early Help should include a list of current interventions, as well as what has already been tried, and what is planned in the immediate future.

This will allow Early Help team to determine if there's something else they could offer.
