I use snapchat almost everyday, just as a way to express what im doing. It is a fun way to talk to someone and adds some excitement to messages. With the new feature "story" I am able to take one picture or video and post it. Allowing all of my friends to see the funny moment.

Text messages

Texting has replaced calling people, it requires little effort and can be done almost anywhere. Since background noise does not effect the message and you don't have to talk it has become very popular. It can be used in class to communicate with people. I very rarely call people anymore, it is simpler to message them, and keep going with my activity. Also, there is a record of what you said. Sounds rather boring, but most of my conversations are about the gym and include workout plans. If I was to try to communicate them via calling, the person would have to write the workouts down taking more time. Through text messages you can also send pictures, other peoples numbers, and Emojis. Emojis are mini pictures that get placed inside of a text message. They help to add some character to the writing, helping to prevent reading the message in the wrong context.

I use Facebook to look at peoples statuses and to look at what they are doing. Keeping up with old friends and finding new ones. I also use it to keep track of upcoming Powerlifting events, news about the Gym on campus, and as a way to congradulate people for accomplishments.
