•What percentage of Bahrain’s energy comes from oil and gas?
94%

•Is there any renewable energy in Bahrain’s energy mix?
-At the moment not much, but Bahrain has a future plan of increasing the generation of electricity capacities by using more renewable energy in its energy mix, and has an aim to achieve by the year 2035 which is to have 10% of its electricity generated from renewable energy resources.
-Bahrain has installed solar pv systems on government buildings around 9% of the government buildings in the country to introduce renewable energy

•Are electric based vehicles fully sustainable? If so, why?
-Electric based vehicles are fully sustainable as the lifetime emissions of the vehicle are lower although it also depends on how they are manufactured and charged up.
-The amount of coal that is being burned to charge the electric vehicles makes a difference to how sustainable they are

•Are there any future plans to incorporate sustainable energy into Bahrain’s energy policy?
-National Renewable Energy Action Plan represents Bahrain’s efforts to deliver the sustainable energy transition envisioned in the Economic Vision 2030. The Plan also represents the implementation of the Kingdom’s international commitments under the Paris Agreement, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the League of Arab States Renewable Energy Framework.
-The Plan sets a national renewable energy target of 5% by 2025 and 10% by 2035. The proposed renewable energy mix consists of solar, wind and waste to energy technologies.
