Jonathon's mom goes hysteric, trying any and every way possible to form concrete proof her son didn’t bring alcohol to one of Jonathon’s cheer events. His mother sets up a lie detector test, brings her son’s high school to court and sues one of the cheerleaders involved with the accusation. Even though the mothers intentions were to help her son, at the same time Jonathon is losing all of his friends and began to develop depression with the extent of the situation. He graduated high school without attending any school events but finally cleared his name.

  My first impression of the article was disbelief, it all seems so terrible for no reason. Why the cheerleaders did what they did is beyond me but as well there has to be some self-awareness as Jonathon's mother. Though she was acting out of care and defense, she has got to realize how much the continuation of the situation is negatively impacting her son. I would advise the mother to drop further complications for the past case and spend time with her son rebuilding their trust and helping strengthen their bond to what it once was.

I loved this article a lot because of its in-depth interviews and research. Reading the article made me definitely more aware of how important our cafeteria workers are to our schools. Also after reading that "LAUSD  serves 107 million meals a year", my mouth dropped. The writer chose to include great context within every single paragraph of the article.
