Since my mom who comes from a long line of Salvadoran ancestry and My dad's who also a bit of a mix of Salvadoran-Hondura ancestry. When he was going into 9th grade he was scared that either the Salvadoran military or the guerillas were going to force him to enlist so he made the journey here. He spent here learning English, working at jobs, and getting his citizenship. Since my mom's family side own a lot of lands since they were farmers and business owner who would sell products/produce to Honduras, I can't really say for them but since my grandpa was a farmer and own land at that time he wasn't really affected at all according to my mom.
