Dribbling is the art of bouncing the ball up and down off the floor with one hand, in order to advance the ball up the court. It is illegal to touch the ball with both hands simultaneously, a.k.a double dribbling. While dribbling, a player should protect the ball to prevent the defender from stealing it. Tips for dribbling include: not looking at the ball, pounding the ball hard, and using the free arm as a shield.

You might be surprised to learn that important muscles responsible for flexing your fingers actually reside in your forearm. The flexor digitorum profondus runs from the elbow to the wrist where it connect to muscles in the fingers. This muscle helps generate the force required to push your fingers forward when shooting the ball. It works in conjunction with the triceps muscles which extend your arm.

Cardio respiratory fitness refers to the level of efficiency with which the body is able to supply sufficient oxygen to working muscles during intense exercise, and how effectively those muscles are able to absorb oxygen to generate the energy necessary to compete. Cellular respiration converts energy stored in the body into adenosine triphosphate -- ATP -- energy that is used to fuel working muscles. The body’s natural ability to complete this chemical process is the product of your aerobic energy system. VO2max is a calibrated measurement of the maximum amount of oxygen that your body is physically able to consume to generate energy for working muscles. It essentially determines overall cardio respiratory fitness level.

Improving one’s blood circulation will carry a number of health and sporting benefits, both on a large and a small scale. The simplest benefit is that when blood flow is increased, more blood means that more oxygen and glucose can be channeled to a player’s muscles, meaning that the powerhouses of a player’s speed and agility will be able to operate with greater capability. Of course, there will be a natural limit to the efficiency of any individual’s muscles, yet there is no reason to work below this limit because a player is not maximizing their blood-flow potential. Also staying healthy means to stay away from drugs, there are several ways to fight drug addiction, visit this article Is Drug Rehab Effective? and learn more!

Circulation also promotes the healing process, providing the necessaries which the body requires to repair injuries, better circulation means that a sports person will recover more quickly. Meanwhile (in that the process of muscle-building involves repairing tiny pieces of damage which are formed by exercise) those with better blood flow will be able to gain strength more quickly when they work out.
