My favourite thing about practicum.

I really liked where i was put at.At first i was scared because i was alone and my class were put in groups. But my favourite thing is that the worker there has well communication with parents or guardians and also with their workers. The kids there took them a short time to be comfortable with me. I am happy where I’m at, they are a really good team!

The challenging part is first time having to prepare for next week art and craft for children there. And also i have to think of what to prepare the snack as a ECE student.

What are your favourite things about your experience so far? What are the things that have been the most challenging?

My favourite thing about experiencing so far is how kids can be so attached to you<3 and that taking the kids out for a bit can take awhile to get ready. And preparing what they’ll work on such as teaching Inuktitut, i love it when non-Inuit wants to learn how to speak Inuktitut, they are so cute trying to pronounce words.

Most challenging is when they just watch TV, and not go outside, when it is very nice outside.

My favourite things about my experiences so far is just spending times with the cute and smart little children, teaching them how to do this and that in a much safer way. Teaching them words in Inuktitut and overall just being present and encouraging children to learn. I love babies and kids. The most challenging things for me is having to go to practicum, by having personal issues nad my babies being sick some time ago that made me lose so many days. -Jean

So far my favourite things about my experiences are - Doing the daycare practicums, I get to learn and observe all the different age groups in one daycare, I observe at Tundra buddies daycare in Iqaluit which is a four classroom daycare, all different age categories, from infant to preschoolers.

And the most challenging- I dont think I would know of any most challenging right now, I really enjoy this program and is very thankful for this opportunity, meeting new people and everything else.

i really liked where I was at (kids on the beach daycare) mostly on preschoolers as it was more easy to let them do their work on tracing, coloring, painting and arts.

I’ve got to learn and observe all the different age of group in 2 daycares (babies side and preschoolers side)

Most challenging: it wasn’t really a challenging for me as im used to being around kids, as i used to babysit my nieces and nephews on top of that my kids to take care of (8 total kids, including my kids)
