In Cleveland, Ohio police officers forced their way into Dollree Mapp's house without a proper search warrant. Police believed Mapp was keeping hold of a suspected bomber and demanded entry. There was no suspect found, but police discovered a trunk of obscene pictures in Mapp's basement. She was arrested for possessing the pictures and was convicted in Ohio court. Mapp argued that her Fourth Amendment rights had been violated.
The U.S. Supreme Court voted 6-3 in favor of Mapp. The court overturned the conviction, and the five justices held that the states were bound to exclude evidence seized in violation of the Fourth Amendment.

This case was illegal and violated the persons rights, because although Mapp had some disturbing material she was still searched by police officers that didn't have a proper search warrant. Making the evidence that they gathered not significant due to the illegal search. Which in conclusion the search did not pertain to the Fourth Amendment making it not fair for Mapp and her rights including her privacy rights.
