         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lesson/Activity:<br>Students will come up with their own strategy for solving 10 less/more problems using only mental math. They will use any drawing app to first write a sentence (or sentences) about their strategy, then illustrate what it looks like in their own mind. Once these are all completed, the teacher will put them into a Google Slides document so they can be easily presented to the entire class (if necessary).</div>]]></description>

The use of technology in this assignment, rather than in-person presentations, redesigns the task itself, as students are not actually getting up and speaking. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>By using the collaboration tool on Nearpod to create a list of ways or strategies to solve math problems, the need to have every student come up to the front of the room to write their ideas on the white board. Rather than taking this time and energy, students can submit as many ideas as they want simultaneously--without having to move around the room! From there, the lists are already on the board (via projector) in legible format and can be turned into a discussion topic much easier.</div>]]></description>
