My favorite memory was the Partnership Symposium in Shingle Springs and interacting with all the amazing projects. Also being introduced to Atta Stevenson who I admire and will get a chance to meet up with her soon.

I loved the poster session at the symposium and having the opportunity to interact with the poster hosts. I learned a tremendous amount and enjoyed the conversations.

We are going to try to find a way to continue this nutrition education class to the community but we will at least be able to make a lasting PSE by incorporating it into our new school 🙂

I enjoyed observing the growth of this work and how each step was truly Tribal and community-centered. It is difficult and rare to see and do that in this way. It was trust-and values-based.

Harvesting foods at Three Creeks as part of the classes and integrating freshly harvested foods (and wild foods) into what we were cooking in our class for that session. Everyone particularly loved using Stinging Nettle for pesto, tea, homemade tortillas and more!

What will stick with me the most is being able to provide culturally rooted programming in the area of nutrition that is specific to the needs of families with children with I/DD. Our native families need a lot of support in this area so it has been an honor to see them feel safe and comfortable to participate in the classes and to see how much they all enjoyed them and how much they got out of it as well. ❤️

It was beautiful seeing all the connections being built at the Partnership Symposium. Everyone I spoke to was very excited to see this become an annual event where those connections could develop further.

I love the reaction/connection that the Native youth have when they want to take recipes home that they resonate with...it's the feeling of having NATIVE SWAG, something that makes them feel at home vs. having no connection

Being able to witness the work directly during site visits made my heart soar. Seeing the ways in which each project found a way to weave a web of interconnected wellbeing not only in the community, but also with other agencies to find ways to get the most of all the resources in both directions.
