Mesela son zamanlarda bulunan, dünyanın en eski yerleşim yeri seçilen ve UNESCO tarafından koruma altına alınan GÖBEKLİTEPE t şeklinde sütunlara sahiptir. Onlarca ton olan bu sütunların nasıl yapıldığı, taşındığı hala var olan onlarca gizemden biri. Ayrıca Müslümanlık dinine göre kutsal sayılan yerlerden biri olan BALIKLIGÖL yüzlerce siyah balığa ev sahipliği yapmaktadır. Hâla görünen 2 büyük mancınık bu olayla ilgilidir. Kebabıyla da ünlü olan Urfa acı çiğ köftelere de sahiptir. Giyim olarakta ilginç olan Urfa’da baylar için Şalvar, Kırk düğme Yelek vb. ve bayanlar için Hıbriye Başlık, Üçetek vb. şeyler giyilir.
