Today I learned that the Articles of Confederation were the US government after they won the Revolutionary War and before the Constitution. They were ineffective at border defense, couldn't enforce laws properly and despite the attempts at unity, the colonies remained mostly divided. I was a little confused about how to distinguish the types of government in the question about Brazil(?) on the quiz.

Today I learned about the various types of government, including theocracies (government rule in the name of God), anarchies (rule by no one), and oligarchies (rule by few). Today I was introduced to the Articles of Confederation, which I previously did not know existed, and assumed the constitution existed since the Declaration of Independence. Currently, there is nothing regarding these topics that I am confused about.
