Did you feel that you were equipped for college life?

"I was equipped for college life. I believe the majority of why I was equipped was because of the way I was raised. I already had the discipline I needed to succeed in college. I did not procrastinate and I find it easy to meet people and build relationships. School wise, my AP classes did prepare me for a few of my classes in college. The work load, however, was really the only thing that was similar. "

A Little About Chelsea...

- She graduated in 2011 from Smithfield Selma High School, a public school in her home town of Prinston, NC

- The summer of that year, Chelsea accepted a position on staff at Bridgepointe Church

- She and I met then, three years ago :)

- She enrolled at NCSU as a freshman in the fall of 2011 (the same year I was a freshman! ...in high school.)

- Previous to her enrollment, she was, along with her family, a die hard Tarheels fan

- She has been properly converted

What was the hardest transition for you to make from high school to college?

"I had a roommate my freshman year that treated me horribly. She treated me the way she did because of my faith."

Was it easy or hard for you to make good friendships at college? Why?

"Yes, it was easy for me to make good friendships. It was easy because I got involved in a bible study which had girls that shared the same morals and values as I did."

What are some pieces of advise that you wish you had been told as a graduating high school senior/college freshman?

"Do not procrastinate. You have plenty of time to complete your assignments if you are disciplined with your time. Also, do not be naive. The real world is different from anything you experience in high school. Be open to different beliefs and cultures. That doesn't mean you have to agree with those beliefs and cultures, you should just be able to adapt to the new environments and beliefs."
