Post your responses from the chewing questions handout as well as a photograph of your summary timeline on the same pallet post. Once you are done, make a comment on at least one other classmates' post using 'I agree/disagree/question/wonder/clarify'. Note: if there is nothing that you disagree, there is no need to disagree for the sake of disagreeing. (See sample post below)

Q1) D-Day.
Q2) D-day was basically the start of the end, it’s success signalled Germany’s defeat
Q4) No, it was other factors such as Germany’s weakness and miscalculations that caused Germany’s defeat in the war. In many of the battles that took place thoughout the war, Germany was winning at the start, however, as the war dragged on, Germany started making tactical errors that led to them losing the battle and the Allies taking opportunity to fight back. We see this in the Battle of Britain where Germany had the upper hand when its Luftwaffe managed to severely damage the RAF planes but Hitler made a mistake by refocusing his attention onto civilian bombing. The allies saw this as an opportunity to recover and defeat Hitler so they took it. Therefore, because it was Hitler’s tactical error that caused his lost in the Battle Of Britain among other battles, we can conclude that Germany lost because Hitler was a bad General.

Q1. Entry of the USA in 1941
Q2. It greatly boosted the morale of the Allies as a whole as the entry of the USA meant that they would be able to obtain more and better warfare, it also meant that they stood. A higher chance against Germany. After the entry of the USA, other than the battles in USSR, USA took part in all the battles and greatly aided in the wins.
Q4. The entry of the USA was the main cause, also the catalyst of the defeat of Germany in WWII as the other factors like the battles, the participation of the Allies can be said to be the underlying cause and hence played a less important role. This was because without the entry of the USA, the Allies would not have been able to defeat Germany with a low morale and lack of warfare in some countries. The USA also sped up the “process” which led to the defeat of Germany due to their contributions which could be said were more than the other Allies.
