         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1627, Robert Boyle was born in Lismore Castle, son to The Great Earl of Cork, Richard Boyle. He was taken out of school at 11 and tutored. By 1655 he moved to Oxford and joined the Invisable College. Robert Hooke was employed around this time who went on to help Boyle with his experiments. Together they built the air-pump which became a common use in their experiments</div>]]></description>

However, this nearly killed him after inhaling water gas, a mix of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, which is sometimes used as fuel. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

In 1909 Millikan&nbsp;began a series of experiments to determine the electric charge carried by a single electron. One experiment was called the (Oil-Drop Experiment) in which he replaced water with oil. He measured the electric voltage between two metal plates as an oil drop fell between until the oil stopped falling.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ernest Rutherford was born on the 30th of August 1871 in Brightwater, New Zealand. Rutherford discovered the concept of the radioactive element Radon. Earnest Rutherford made the new atomic theory while using the theory that J.J Thompson made. Rutherford's theory better explained the model of the atom. He discovered that the positive charge of protons and neutrons and that a major mass was located in a small volume. He named this area the Nucleus.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Henry Gwyn Jeffreys Moseley was born on the 23rd of November 1887. Moseley's periodic table is the modern form of the periodic table that is used today. Henry discovered the atomic number of each element using x-rays. Henry collected the x-ray spectra of a variety of elements and found that the frequency of x-ray radiation has a precise mathematical relationship to an elements atomic number. This relationship is now called Moseley's Law.</div>]]></description>
