         <description><![CDATA[<div>I did my observation at a kitchen table during homework time.  Kitchen tables represent important things in many cultures and I believe this was a good place to catch the natural environment. It was learning because there was practice, corrections,and encouragement happening.  It was done right after a school day snack and I observed for about 25 minutes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The male steered things according to his household norms such examples are:<br>-Forcing the child to stop, look at him, and listen when she was struggling with instructions.<br>-Encouraging her to sing her name song rather than giving her the answer.<br>-Repeating beginning sounds before saying the word such as hhhham.<br>                 It's important to note that as the child's mother I know the name song and letter repetition comes from home not school.<br>-</div>]]></description>
