Getting back into the formal tutorial process will actually be easy. The students will be delighted to get away from the Jamboard and back to paper, writing on the whiteboard, etc… We will definitely need to focus on higher leveling of questioning (DOK), and critical/collaborative thinking skills. School-Wide AVID can help with providing professional development during PD time on Critical Reading and Writing to Learn. The AVID elective class can also help with literacy by having each grade level read a novel as a class focusing on key vocabulary development, decoding and comprehension skills. 
As a site we will also need to focus on having a whole school intervention hour to help students master skills, recover and recharge. We can start school wide learning logs, and teaching students how to take accountability for grades. We need to revisit our AVID training(s), review the needs of our teachers in terms of providing support and training, and refresh on the AVID trainings to maintain our AVID focus areas which are aligned to our schoolwide goals. We hope to do something new with providing students with regular/frequent feedback to improve learning outcomes to raise the percentage up to 50% of ALL students to grades of "C" or better.
