         <title>Basic trust vs mistrust (1-2 years)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this stage, you learn to trust or mistrust others. If you are cared for, receive comfort, and your basic needs are meet you will development a sense of trust of the caregiver. The ones who don't receive this will development mistrust.</p><p><br/></p><p>I resolved the trust vs mistrust by learning that I was care for and taken care of by parents. My needs were met and therefore learned to trust. For instance, when I was hungry I was fed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Baby develops sense of whether world is a good and safe place".</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this stage, you are learning about independence. You learn to control your actions, and explore the environment around you. The ones who are encouraged to do this will development autonomy.</p><p><br/></p><p>I resolved the autonomy vs shame and doubt by dressing myself. I learned to put my clothes on by myself even if I put shirt on backwards. I developed the independence by learning how to dress myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Child developments a balance of independence and self-sufficiency over shame and doubt". </p>]]></description>

         <title>Initiative vs guilt (4-5 years)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this stage, a child is able to explore, make decisions, and initiative a variety of play methods. If a child is criticized constantly they will develop a sense of guilt.</p><p><br></p><p>I resolved the initiative vs guilt stage by helping fold laundry. I was able to decide what to fold and how to fold it. Then while observing my parents I learned where to laundry went after you folded it.</p><p><br></p><p>"Child develops initiative when trying new activities and is not overwhelmed by guilt".</p>]]></description>

I played soccer, baseball, and basketball. I developed competency in basketball that allowed me to build confidence within myself.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Child must learn skills of the culture or face feelings of incompetence".</p>]]></description>
