Plant and animal cells are different in many ways. Most of these differences are caused by the need for animals cels to be stretchy and able to move where as plants need to stay upright so their cells are more rigid. Plant cells have rigid cell walls that keep them upright. Another unique plant cell feature is that plant cells have chloroplasts. These provide energy from sunlight fro the plants which cannot move around to get food. Plants also have large vacuoles to store water inside. This is different from animal cells that have small vacuoles. Animal cells have centrioles and centrosomes. These organelles help during cell division by organizing chromosomes. Lastly some animal cells have flagella which help if needed for single cells to move around.

Plant cells have cells walls because it gives them the ability to grow up and out while animal cells don't because they already are in various shapes and sizes. Most of the main differences have to do with the movement necessary. Plants grow up and don't move while animals grow differently, they can move around. Because of this plants need direct sunlight while animals don't need it directly. Plant cells have chloroplast to create food and energy, while animal cells don't have chloroplasts because they need to move around and get their food.

Animal cells and plant cells have varying similarities and differences. One example of a difference between the two is the use of a cell wall. Plant cells have rigid cell walls because of their lack of movement and stationary nature, whereas Animal cells have flexible membranes to allow movement. Furthermore, Animal cells have centrioles and centrosomes. In addition, Plant cells have chloroplasts, which allow photosynthesis and the production of glucose.
