         <description><![CDATA[<div>If USS and CRW are focusing on Vocab, do we also need to do so?  My students do vocab when they do their listening journals.  Vocab could be taught more organically through lectures/videos we do.</div>]]></description>

         <title>I am still trying to get my head around vocabulary.  I think the best way to improve vocab is by reading.  So what can we do in ALS?  We can give them chances to practice with unknown vocabulary via Listening.  They already know all of the strategies (eg. guessing from context, etc.), but we need to give them practice dealing with unknown words when listening....various ways to do that.  They want words and we just gave them a handful.  </title>
