Scenario: Your marketing team works for a company that sells special software to big banks. The software helps them spot and stop online theft. This is called B2B (business-to-business) marketing. Your job is to create a social media post to get banks interested in your software. It's very different from B2C (business-to-consumer) marketing, where you might sell something like a cool pair of sneakers directly to teens. The target audience here is a professional, not an everyday shopper. What social media sites would you use to reach them? What kind of posts (videos, articles, pictures) would get their attention without being boring? by Elaine Hill

I would use Facebook and LinkedIn as my main social media advertisement sites as their audience is commonly businesses instead of the everyday person. I would post short, concise posts with the needed info and then also post a link to follow where more information and details can be found. Short form media like 15 second or less videos, minimal flyers, and posts do the best in this situation as you can catch someones eye quickly and then direct the viewer to more information.

We'd focus on LinkedIn and X(Twitter) since business decision-makers use them the most. Post would be short and show real value-like case studies, infographics on fraud risks, or maybe a short film of the software stopping theft in action. Articles highlighting industry trends and expert insights would build trust, while visuals keep it entertaining without losing the Professional feel of it.

I would use Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Radio Stations as my main sites. I know Radio isn't really a site, but I think that using that would reach a lot of the people you need to reach. And the rest of them have some very business-oriented areas, and it would make it easier to get to the businesses you need to.

To market my business, I would use LinkedIn because people often post their business as well as their career updates. On LinkedIn, I would post daily updates about business, including product updates, statistics, and team activities. I would also use YouTube, because it often comes up under a Google search. On Google, I would post shorter videos that are easy to watch, where I would talk about software, company goals, and anything scientific and visual. Reddit would also be a great site due to the many specific pages. I would create my own page talking about the company as well as respond to other posts on other pages, giving out advice while also marketing my own company.

To reach big banks, I'd focus on LinkedIn and X (Twitter) since they're the most professional social media sites. Most people in banking and tech use LinkedIn to find new tools and ideas, so it's perfect for B2B marketing. I'd post short videos showing how the software detects and stops online theft, along with articles or infographics that explain new cybersecurity threats. That kind of content keeps it professional but still interesting, and it shows the company is an expert in online security.
