We found it interesting for him to be so far ahead in his thinking. Brewery workers didn't get sick as not drinking H2O, drank beer!
Selina is a group moderator this week, so interested in the similarities and differences between natural experiments and more controlled experiments, and the individuals involved.
3)*Climate change - in India the cultural practices and religion that can ignore risk of covid 19 (masks etc), but also the heat might be a factor in their country.
*SA water system change in water supply between dams. There was a change from Chlorine to Chloramine. Was killing pet fish and causing skin irritations for showering.
*Pesticides/chemicals in the 1970's not regulation or moderation, now just accepted in society.

4) Co-moderator Selina: Some good examples in readings this week for comment in the forums
Superblocks good example of improvement of the city, plus gentrification.
Opportunities for Low income families to move out of environment. Children under 7 having huge long term life changes (positive).
Looking at other natural experiments around the world - eg re-greening of landscape in India. One man has started a social movement for environment to regenerate. Rivers had stopped flowing, farmers committing suicide. As people have become involved the river has started flowing, communities helping plant trees.
Peer led discussions involving all forum members making comment, not just the co-moderators. Good flow and lots of interactions. Life experience encouraged.

Observational study - Vaccine (brand/type) efficacy. Difference between countries who have over 60% population vaccinated and countries that don't. E.g. Seychelles (70%) and UK (51%). Portugal (40%).
