 A monarchy(like the oligarchy, and tyranny) had a place in time where either a group of people, or a tyrant; monarchs had there time to rule in the ancient Greece timeline. They usually lived in a place like place. The people their had to pay taxes, and obey their laws. In return, the monarch would give them protection.

Direct democracy is what we have. We chose a from a group of people on who we want to be president. Representative is a founded principle of elect officials.
     In ancient Greece, they made democracy, but it's not how we picture it today. It was Direct democracy. It was a raffle, or lottery that you had to be a citizen to participate(read citizen to figure out the requirements). In the raffle, a certain group of you were drawn, and you all got to participate in this meeting. You could state a law that you wanted. Then, after a month, new people would be drawn in.
