Hate to say it, but I question the premise - that we need to communicate expectations. Some might bristle at getting a communication or message that by virtue of being a TA with ABC organization, you are expected to perform tasks XYZ. Seems like a communication must come as an offer - something you get. Might have an expectation wrapped inside, but we should be careful how it's communicated.

Expand the "Stories" of TAs.

Things like Eric Booth's TAJ give TAs an opportunity to share ALL of what we bring to the table. It is not as if we each have (or SHOULD have) the exact same credentials to work. Creativity develops based on all that we know and have experienced. So it is important to have many opportunities to share & dig into our work. #StoriesArentJustForStorytellers

P.S. What an honor it was to get published in TAJ back in 2006(ish)!
