The Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore launched its Fourth Masterplan for ICT in Education (mp4) in 2015. As a continuation of the vision of its first, second and third masterplans, mp4 serves as the blueprint for the integration of ICT in education for the next five years. One of the main objectives of mp4 is to enhance the quality of our students’ learning through deeper integration of ICT into curriculum, assessment and pedagogy. This is to be achieved by leveraging the affordances of ICT to empower and enable our teachers as designers of learning experiences and environments so that they are able to improve the subject mastery of their students and develop their 21st century competencies in them to help them succeed in today’s knowledge economy.
