After reading Nonfiction for Young Adults From Delight to Wisdom, I now know that over 2/3 of the library is made up of nonfiction.  The book says readers approach a book from one of two ways. Either they look for what they can take away from the text, or they look for what they are able to experience from the text. Delight to Wisdom also states that pleasure comes from knowing and confirming, which makes sense that nonfiction would make up most of libraries. People like to verify what they already know from a text.  That is why they are most likely to read a nonfiction book.
