         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;- Diversity complex: As demonstrated in Anyon 1981, school teachers exposed their personal biases toward who is capable of learning parts of the curriculum, hence, affecting the way they deliver an choose their content to population served.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; - with culture: A need to fit in<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; - with language: Not socially accepted in most of my experiences with changing schools. Speak "proper English" was a common to hear amongst school staff and classmates.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; - with social class: As discussed in Reese 2007, ability grouping was based ones IQ level; slow students were most common in urban schools.<br><br></div>]]></description>

This is a shift in acknowledging and respecting culture differences.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; - Truancy: Lack of interest leads to more kids cutting class - truancy policy has been implemented in an attempt to increase school attendance.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; -&nbsp; Title lX: Protects people from discrimination.</div>]]></description>
