This would serve as his tomb during his death.<br>He took their positions in a way were Jesus body is realistic and he is able to make Mary transmit emotions through the sculpture.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> Michelangelo was brought originally to make a tomb for Pope Julius II but during his 40 years working on the tomb he had other projects that came in and they wanted to challenge him with an unfamiliar medium. The well known classic the "Creation of Adam" is about god giving life to man in the form of Adam. God is portrait as a muscular old man and Adam a hopeful man with the world at his feet. You can find this painting on Sistine Chapel 's ceiling<br>Fun Fact: The painting took about four years to complete </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Rome, Michelangelo was hired by Pope Julius II to paint the twelve apostles in the walls of a sacred place in the Vatican where new popes are inaugurated. <br>He painted 400 other figures besides the apostles in the chapel from different parts of the Bible.<br>It took him four years to complete this project and it remains one of the most famous paintings ever made.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We chose this topic because he was a major influence in Western European art and was one of the first artist to emerge giving birth to what we know as the renaissance.<br>He had such an ingluence of other artists that tried to imitate him that a new movement rose Mannerism.</div><div>Before Michelangelo, artists represented the human body during the dark ages as one dimensional, out of proportion</div><div>Michelangelo also helped start the humanist movement by bringing back Greek and Roman art. The humanist movement is a movement concentrates on human's possibilities downplaying God. Many during the Dark Ages were only painting Christian Themes but Michelangelo created a lot of art work of men and women making a new path.<br><br></div>]]></description>
