Men are often viewed as strong and capable of providing for the whole family whereas women are often seen as fragile and can only look after the family and house. It is expected for men to carry the whole family and women to just ride along which can put stress on men. It is also seen as masculine to use substances with negative effects, it is also seen as masculine to do physically stressful or dangerous things (although sometimes it can be fun).
