This store is the exact same concept as the current DSM in London, and the reason they moved was due to them finding a much cheaper space which was three times the space.  

This article from 'The Spaces' by Tomo Taka, is written about the movement of DSM from the original store located on Dover Street, in Mayfair, to its current place in Haymarket. This article talks about how the new concept store now had 'three times the space of its previous home' and how it's opening in 2016 introduced 'a high-end retail offering to Haymarket' as this area is well known for its theatres, bars and clubs.

It shows how direct and to the point Adrian Joffe is and this is well reflected in the brand.
Paris is said to be the last of the DSM family, and they talk about how they plan to go with the flow and just see what happens as they do with the majority of there big steps and decisions.

At this point of 2018 the only stores that were open included, London, Ginza, NYC, Singapore and the newly opened store in Beijing.
