Haiti is a free market economy with low labor costs and tariff-free access to the US for many of its exports. Its major trading partner is the United States. They have very little agriculture and are starting to use a genetically engineered corn breed that can sustain in the harsh environment. The terrain of Haiti is very messy due to the many natural disasters they have had over the years. The country itself is very poor and cannot provide  food for its people.
