My response to this: This is basically showing how changed Eli and his beliefs. My response: After his dad died he said how he was a "burden" or he questioned it wondering if he was weighing him down when he was still alive because eli was focusing on helping him too much. After his dad dies you realize Elie loses faith in god. My response: I believe this shows how much Elie believed in god and how much it changed from the beginning to the end of the book and it is sad how the concentration camp did that to him. My response: When he found Moshe the Beatle I realized that he was gonna help Elie learn his religion and be there for him.
