         <title>Attack On Pearl Harbor</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pearl Harbor was a naval base in Honolulu, Hawaii. On December 7, 1941, just before 8 A.M. On that day, hundreds of Japanese planes came and surprised the USA army. About 2.4 thousand military personnel died, and at least 1 thousand civilians were wounded. This caused President Roosevelt to get permission from congress to declare war with Japan</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1942, the United States destroyed Japan's first line of carriers and killed most of Japan's best trained pilots. Midway was a base that Japan was trying to take over to hopefully try and destroy Pearl harbor. This however didn't turn out in favor of Japan because the United States were able to fight against them only suffering minor damages to their bases. </div>]]></description>

This was named the bloodiest battle of the Pacific War because of the two countries fighting with all they had. The US won this war but the casualties on both sides made it seem like it didn't do much. Japan lost due to them not having anymore caves and places to hide.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1945, before the battle of Okinawa, the US was trying to capture an airfield for their aircraft. Japan tried to defend themselves but the US came out successful. The US Marines captured around 200 of Japans military personnel. The rest of them were killed off. About 7000 of the Marines died in action and another 20000 were injured. Only about 1000 Japanese personnel survived and were in hiding until 1949. The US used this airfield in preparation for the battle of Okinawa.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Germany invades Poland</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1939, the European theater started off with Germany invading Poland which made Britain and France freak out which caused them to declare war. Germany successfully had military superiority over Poland. A week later, Germany and Soviet Russia made a pact and joined in on the invasion. In the end of the invasion, Germany lost about 14000 troops and another 30000 injured. The Polish military however lost about 66000 troops and another 130000 were wounded.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1945, the Western Allies had taken over most of Western Europe, The Soviet conquered most of Eastern Europe, and Germany surprisingly surrendered. Hitler had also supposedly killed himself which made Nazis fearful and scared of what was to come. Germany had to surrender twice in fear that they would fake it. They signed a seize-fire and WW2 ended.</div>]]></description>
