         <description><![CDATA[<div>The People's Association is a statutory board under the ministry of culture, Community and Youth of the Government of Singapore.The organisation oversees neighbourhood grassroots communities and social organisation.Ensuring that the people and residents in the community are happy with the facilities and ammenities they have<br><br><br>For example one of their programmes,Active Ageing which learns about the different engagement programmes for seniors in their golden years.Another example is Community Arts where they get people to learn about how art inspires which brings different communities together and have them have a greater appricieation and understanding over art.<br><br>It builds meaningful interactions by getting people and residents to come together and bond with one another and at the same time understand and appricieate the activities that were given to them</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The organisation helps to nurture a harmonious society through cross-cultural education and further contributes to the success of multi-racial Singapore.<br><br>An event they organised is the Community Leaders’ Conference it helps to engage community leaders on current trends and developments pertaining to race and religious relations, as well as provide a capacity-building platform for community leaders, religious groups, and educators.<br><br>Another event that they have organised is the Regardless of Race Dialogues. It helps provide a platform for people of all backgrounds to share experiences, ideas, and views on social cohesion in Singapore. The dialogues aim to encourage robust yet respectful conversations exploring tough issues, ground concerns, social norms, and aspirations.<br><br>They are able to talk about their own race and religion which allows everyone to bond together and learn more about each other's culture.</div>]]></description>

Today, they continue to bring people together through a wide range of activities organised at more than 100 community centers, 500 RCs, and 100 NCs, across singapore.<br><br>What does the organisation do?<br>- promote racial harmony and social cohesion in Singapore. Its mission is to build and bridge communities in achieving one people one Singapore<br>- They oversee neighbourhood grassroots communities and social organisations<br><br></div><div>Example of events that they have organised?<br>- they host a multitude of programmes [e.g workshops, events, first aid training, etc.] that are usually held in community centres.&nbsp;<br>-people can volunteer for the programmes available.&nbsp;<br><br>How does it build meaningful interactions?<br>- It offers people from all walks of life to join them in their programmes making them interact with one another in what they do&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Inter-Racial and Religious Confidence Circle (IRCC) is a platform to promote racial and religious harmony in Singapore, with a presence in every constituency.<br><br></div><div><br>We see ourselves as a bridge between religious, ethnic and community groups. By being part of the IRCC network, leaders from these various groups can come together to build friendship and trust.<br><br></div><div><br>We also seek to deepen Singaporeans’ understanding of various faiths, beliefs and practices. For example, through inter-faith and inter-ethnic activities, such as heritage trails, dialogues, visits to places of worship, ethnic and religious celebrations, which are open to the community.<br><br></div><ul><li>Build familiarity and strengthen relationships among and between ethnic, religious and community leaders.</li><li>Promote mutual understanding and appreciation of the different religions, cultures and practices among Singaporeans.</li><li>Facilitate collaborations among and between ethnic, religious and community groups for social and community causes.</li><li>Maintain social cohesion and instil solidarity in times of racial and religious tensions and conflicts.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What does the organisation do?<br>-PA's mission is to build and bridge communities in achieving one people, one Singapore by offering a wide range of programmes to cater to Singaporeans from all walks of life-connecting people to people, and people and government through a network of over 2000 grassroots organisations, over 100 Community clubs, five Community Development Councils, National Community Leadership Institute and PAssion WaVe to promote racial harmony and social cohesion in Singapore.<br><br>Example of events that they have organised?<br>-[ Soundwaves ] Soundwaves is PA’s signature concert that celebrates racial harmony and promotes local talents in Singapore.&nbsp;<br>-[ Gentarasa ] Gentarasa was initiated in 2002 to foster greater awareness and appreciation of the Malay culture in our multi-racial society.&nbsp; Gentarasa also serves as a platform for the Malay performing groups at the Community Clubs (CCs) to showcase their talent in Malay performing arts.<br><br>How does it build meaningful interactions?<br>-PA through its Grassroots Organisations (GROs) and Integration and Naturalisation Champions (INCs), help new citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) settle in the community, providing platforms for them to interact with and bond with the local residents. Through their participation in various integration-centric programmes and GRO programmes/activities, the new immigrants can make friends and develop mutual understanding with their neighbours and other residents in the community.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
