Why does a baseball continue to move after a pitcher lets go of it and stops applying force? Why would the ball eventually hit the ground?

The baseball would keep moving through the air because no force would be acting upon it. It would not be until a force, such as wind, acted on it to cause it to slow down. The ball would hit the ground because the force of gravity would pull the ball downward. Then the force of the ground would cause the ball to eventually roll to a stop.

The baseball does not stop moving because there is not a force to act upon it. The ball would eventually hit the ground because of gravity's force on it.

The reason this happens is cause when the player lets go of it all that suspension that added up when he was bringing his hand back to throw the ball was all used when he threw it and eventully that suspension runs out and the ball stops.

The baseball would not stop because no force would act upon it. The ball will eventually hit the ground because the gravity will pull the ball down to the ground.

The ball is in motion and will stay in motion until another force actes on it, the ball will eventually hit the ground because the motion will slow eventually and gravity will take over.

A baseball will continue to move after a pitcher lets go of it because it has enough force to keep moving. The baseball would stop applying force because the ball has left the pitcher's hand and is just slowly decreasing as it is traveling through the air.The ball would eventually hit the ground because the velocity would eventually get slower and slower, until it doesnt have enough "power" to keep moving. This is a prime example of Newton's First Law of Motion.

The reason that it keeps going is because it is already flying and only stops and it is also because inertia

Because there's not enough force in the ball to keep it going.
And it would hit the ground because Gravity is pulling it down to the ground.

There is not enough force to stop the ball.But as the ball gets farther and farther away the force starts to act upon it.so the ball would not stop emediatly in the air.that is why the baseball dose not stop when thrown.

The baseball keeps moving because no force acts upon it to make it stop. The ball would eventually stop moving because the gravity would be weaker because the distance would increase.

The force of the player throwing the ball makes it keep going. It would hit the ground eventually because gravity would pullit down. Also, theforce on the ball would stop because the force and gravity are the unbalanced force. Which is Newton's First Law of Motion
