This event started world war one because the people of Austria-Hungary were mad that their leader was assigned especially in a foreign country. The repercussions of world war one were almost immediate and every country felt the effects.

The battle of the Marne was a plan by Germany to invade Paris and take control. The French however managed to push them back and save Paris from capture.

This affected people because this was sort of the biggest victory for France, who were getting continuously beaten. This was a beacon of hope for France in a really dark time and give the soldiers some morale and hope for people at home.

The battle of the Somme was a battle between germany and the allied powers where the allied powers won. This battle was so significant because it was one of the bloodiest battles of world war one.

This effected the people of Europe because it left a lot of people dead, thousands of bodies laid just above the trenches rotting and dying. Everyone who didn't die came back from it traumatized, but the efforts weren't useless considering they had one.

The Zimmerman telegram was a telegram intended to go from Germany to Mexico in an effort to get mexico to go behind America's back and weaken them before they joined. It was intercepted by Britain and given to America.

The effects this had on europe were tremendous because it led to America joining the war. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for America and gave europe a huge boost in this war.

Russia is going through a revolution making it so incredibly difficult for the leaders to balance with the war. They surrendered the war with a new government.

This event affected them because it soured Russia's reputation, because in Europe's mind they betrayed them. There was a whole communist revolution that would bring some stuff to WW2.

World war one has been held in sort of a ceasefire. The treaty laid out all conditions that had to be followed and debt that had to be paid.

The treaty left Germany in so much debt and even though future leaders did not listen, it also included a Military ban. It was more of a revenge plan then a true hope for future peace and this treaty allowed world war one to come to an end.
