I will discuss the topics with the group to check for existing knowledge on the topic.
Give the group a handout explaining the topics
During the Event
I will use Prezi to help explain the topics, this will appeal to more of the learning styles of the group.
Follow-Up
Using kahoot, I will develop quiz that will test the knowledge of the group. The lesson that i have chose is Manual Handling Training and will de delivered using a blended approach

1. Before the Event

Students will fill in a pre course survey on there needs in relation to Manual Handling Training. I will discuss with the group via teams their existing knowledge and skills and any concerns they may have.

2. During the Event

PART 1
Following on from this meeting students will complete self-directed information which will be a presentation that will include a audacity voice over, sub titles and video demonstrations. Using Kahoot Students will complete quiz/test to test their knowledge
PART 2
After part 1 is complete, part 2 of this lesson is the Face to face element which will start with a discussion of what the students learned from their self directed learning. This part of the lesson will also include both demonstrations, practice and assessment of the techniques

3. Follow up Activity
Following the 3C's principle using Google Forms. I will asked the students to provide feedback on, if they can Confirm that they are happy at what they are doing at the moment. If they need to Challenge themselves now that they may have acquired new knowledge and skills and finally what would they Change going forward. This information will be provide 2 to 3 weeks after returning to work

These skills will benefit students will seeking employment.

1. Before the event

Have a group discussion to find out students previous knowledge and experiences of barista.

2. During the event

This will be a class based power point presentation covering topics to include

- Origin of coffees
- Types of coffees
- Equipment required
- Barista machine

3. Follow up activity

This will be a practical class where students will be given demonstrations at the Barista machine. The layout of the Barista machine will be explained and various coffees will be explained and demonstrated. Students will then have the opportunity to practice making and tasting these coffees. Customer service will also be incorporated into this activity as students will take orders from and serve other students.
