For my senior project I would like to coach a basketball team at the YMCA. I would like to do this because basketball means everything to me and I want to show that love that I have for it with young girls. I’m doing this due to the fact that I would like to be a coach someday for a high school team. I will actually be head coach of a 3/4 grade girls team.  

Basketball has been in life for many many years 13 to be exact. I started when I was 3 and never stopped. 

From the day is started I had the biggest smile on my face and I want the same for these girls. I would like to show my improvement from the very first game to the very last time. I’m hoping that my team and I can win at 4/10 games that we have. 

I benefit a lot from this due to the fact that this will help me in my future of coaching and show that I can take charge and be responsible for 10 girls. I will be able to grow in my own way and decide how I like to coach and how I shouldn’t coach. I’ve had a lot of coaches in my life bad and good so I have a lot of experience on how I should coach. I feel like the girls will be able to get a lot of information out of our practice and games. Being able to leave and show their family what they learn at practice and hopefully show it in the game. I’m helping out the ymca by being a coach because they didn’t have enough.

There  are going to be a lot of struggles with this project because I have to manage school, basketball, and also coach a team on my own. I’m scared to see how this will turn out but I have full faith that it will be good. I think that everyone involved in this project will learn new stuff and now be able to take something good away from this season!!
